Anyone have any Luck Yet?

Was wondering how everyone was doing. I was able to take an adult doe opening day regular bow season. The pics weren't very good. So far have see 5 deer total.

A beautiful 8 pointer arrowed half mile in back of my camp. Very nice rack!
The guy missed a 6 pointer hour before and then the big one comes out. Such is hunting.
No bears though.

So far I've taken 1 deer and 3 bears into my taxidermy shop. One of the bear hunters said 4 of the guys in his group took bears, all of which were taken from deer stands north of Saranac Lake. With a small berry crop, the bears are apparently on the move looking for anything they can find.

Are you asking only about big game?

I have a new setter puppy and this season is mainly dedicated to training her, but I did manage to go out last week and shoot three pheasants without the assistance of a dog. Unless you count finding them with the dog the evening before as assistance.

She has found eight pheasants since September 28th.

Excellent!! It's so much fun to train a new pup, especially if they GET IT!!
