Cranberry Lake Trip - 9/29/17

Hey Guys,

My friends and I are planning a trip to Cranberry lake the weekend of 9/29. Planning on kayaking up from Wanakena and staying at the site on that rocky pier just as you start to round the corner toward dead creek flow.

Just putting a feeler out to see if anyone was planning on going that weekend or for those of you have gone this season, is the water high? Anyone put in at Wanakena this year? Any notable environmental changes?

I put in just down from the campground at the state launch in late July and headed up to Brandy Brooke Flow. The water seemed to be at normal levels and I had no issues with the kayak or the canoe my father used. Campsites didn't seem to be underwater or anything as we checked quite a few to find what we wanted. We didn't head to the Wanakena end of the lake. So I assume if one end was fine the other would be as well. If you don't live too far away I would do a recon run the week before. Head up High Falls Loop for a couple miles and check the water. If anything will flood it is that. I know, I walked 16 miles in shin deep water in late April.
