Giant via Roaring Brook Trail and a dog. Possible?

Due to a last minute shortened schedule for tomorrow, I am looking for a hike between 6 and 9 miles that I can do with our dog Cooper tomorrow. I typically hate "up and backs" but due to the short time period and only 1 car I think I might be stuck with it. Cooper and I are both experienced hikers, including quite a few other High Peaks.

I was looking at the Giant Mtn trip via the Roaring Brook Trail and it looks like the total trip would only be 7.2 miles, which is a perfect distance. Having never done Giant before, does anyone know if this particular route is dog friendly?

If this one is no good, I would gladly take other suggestions that fit our somewhat tight parameters.

Cheers,
Justin
