I would say a gray jay.

But only if there is a fabulous prize for guessing correctly.

Thats pretty awesome! While whiskeyjacks or "camp robbers" have stolen my food, I have never gotten one to sit on my hand.

There was a grey jay that'd land on you like that up near the marcy haystack intersection a few years back, but this pic looks like its near water.

Be very careful Neil - they're vicious!

Actually, I see two mammals in that second picture. Not sure which one needs to be named...

The one on the right appears to be one of those funny-looking hairless primates.

Hah!

I didn't let go of the japanese cracker. That little critter could really tug! He was a lot of fun to watch as he zipped all around at high speed. He was into our packs, running over our feet, zip, zip, zip.

The birds were a lot of fun too. At one point I held a sesame snap between my teeth while I was fussing with my pack and a Grey Jay swooped in and took it right out of my mouth. A family of 4 followed us around and it you pointed at something one would immediately land on your hand.

They are only so cute, however.
From Wiki:
"Gray Jays commonly prey on nestling birds."

More pics.

It was in Quebec near St. Xenon. "Parc des 7 Chutes." Roughly 70 miles north of Montreal.
