I like the name "Summit" mentioned earlier, but only if it's spelled "Some Mutt".

Great choice. Jasper was our dog's name 3 dogs ago...was a wonderful companion and spent its entire life summering in the ADKs. I wish the same for your pooch!

Jasper sounds great !

Late to the game . Our male Sheltie is Cooper ( named after Cooperstown ) . Our female is Holly ( for the holly on our property )
Our other male is named Charlie ( named after Charlie )

Mohawk. The word Adirondack is supposed to come from a word from the Mohawks that means "eater of trees". Alternatively, you could name him 'eater of trees', but I think that might not fit.

I liked the suggestion of Mosquito, definitely a strong association there!
