Black Lake to Thersa NY(Indian River)

Not ADK paddling but anyone canoe from black lake down the Indian river?

Looking to try this on a long weekend possibly and wonder if its logistical.

I've looked at it as a nearby opportunity. Wondered if camping at Eel Weir State Park made sense. I could not find other than stealth camping opportunities, or longish portages to state forests. I would be very interested in what you find.

Yes my plan was just to hammock camp along the banks. Hopefully in an area that can get permission.

1/3 of a mile and Pulpit Rock State Forest is a possibility. Not great. There is Santway Park in Theresa which allows free camping, and short walk to a bar.

Yup i did see the state land around in certain places. Something to drive up and look over, paddle sections to see how to get around areas. talk to land owners in spots I would camp. Work in progress.
