Lowland stroll on the Eastside.

Parked at the end of Shelving Rock Rd. headed down to the lake and while yakking failed to notice the Bald Eagle sitting in a tree above us until it vammoosed.Friend got some great pics as it circled the bay and lighted in a pine on Hens and Chicken Is.Headed along the lake stopping at the numerous viewpoints each stunning in their own right. We took the Southside trail up to the falls a new one for me since most of my time in this area was on bike eons ago.The falls were flowing nicely and we retraced our tracks along the lake since the sun finally appeared.Great day in a special area.https://www.facebook.com/jeff.tabor....=3&pnref=story Some pics.

Was there yesterday. Lots of litter including the BBQ someone left behind. I see you took a pic of it. Very scenic area, but too bad people have to trash it.

They must have missed the "Dispose of Waste Properly" lesson in Leave No Trace. Also "Be Considerate of Other Visitors".

Jokers.

It looked like to us someone had scoured the woods for litter and put it in the middle of the trail, hopefully for a later pickup.Unfortunatly we didn't have any garbage bags because the car wasn't very far away.
