Black Forest trail?

I'm thinking of backpacking the Black Forest Trail in north-central PA this weekend. Does anyone know if sufficient water will be flowing to filter? Also, is it clear or turbid? I tend to use chlorine dioxide exclusively but need to bring a particulate filter if it is turbid.

With all the rain we've had, I would be absolutely shocked if there wasn't enough water. You're not in Colorado anymore...

I hiked part of it this time of year, a few years back, and I remember there being clear-running streams. But my memory may have faded, and I have a filter so slightly turbid water wouldn't quite be so memorable to me.

are you a member of ADKhighpeask forum. On that forum, snickers would be a great source of information of hiking in Penna.

(moved to "other places" forum)

Daxs idea of contacting Snickers is an excellent one. Others on adkhighpeaks that I believe are also from PA are hoosier, Adam12, and adkdremn.

Thanks for the constructive replies, I'll join the other forum and check but the weather is looking poor, I might head to the whites instead.
