2021 ADK ice out

This weather is looking good for an earlier than normal ice out. Fingers crossed. I was out on East Pine Pond ice fishing last weekend. 12-16 inches of ice. The ice had 3 layers with pockets of slush in between each layer. Will try to keep everyone posted with local waters and info as often as i can. The floodwood road area will most likely be a zoo this year as it was last year. Cuomo has been pressing RV camping across the state the last few years. It seemed as if every time i drove that way last summer 90 % of the sites where loaded with full size campers. And now with the train tracks removed and it being advertised as a bike trail there will be little to no roadside availability. Anyone planning to come up always have a plan b to find sites off the beaten path.

Lots of shoreline break up over the last few days on the bigger ponds from that wind. If we are lucky we will get some heavy winds with this snow storm so we dont get set back again.

Any info on Little Tupper? Hoping to get out on the water next next weekend and that would be my first choice.

As of 4/5 Little Tupper is still covered in ice: https://go.nasa.gov/39J7AK9
Big Tupper is open and mostly ice free.

Still a bit of ice out there. Checked a few spots with high hopes to only find them locked tight with no soreline melt even. This weeks warm will totally speed things up but at least a week or more for any of the good spots nears saranac lake to be fishable.

Had a buddy send me pics of BML and 4th lake, both of which still had ice on them.

Looking like everything is good to go. Fished all day sunday and it was slow slow slow. Nothing stocked locally in saranac lake area yet. Streams are really low i hope the black flies are not to bad as a result.

Tight lines all
