The answer is unfortunatley yes, at the moment. We got hit pretty hard and we have had two of our best people working on restoring the site on almost a 24 hour basis. We sincerley regret the inconvienience this has caused and once we have stabilized the code and database we are already looking at alternative to keep this from ever happening again.
Thank you for your patience,
Jack

I know you guys have been working hard at getting the foundation website restored. I also know many of us are very appreciative of all the hard work that has already gone into this undertaking. It certainly doesn't go unnoticed.

Hi Ronnie, just ask your question here...almost everyone who's a member of Adkhighpeaks secretly reads this forum anyway (yes, YOU...you know who you are...!)...

We are making progress
The Donation and Online Store is up if anyone wants to make a purchase of a calendar. There are only 25 Calendars left.

Now, the page comes up with a "down for maintenance" statement. That's an improvement.

We're making progress - the site was hit hard, and we have much to restore before we can fully bring it back on line...step by step.

I just hope this forum doesn't go down. Wouldn't want to lose my 2 million posts.

Most of them are misssing anyway, about 1,998,000 of them don't seem to be located anywhere on the forum. There are only 166,854 posts on the forum.

Perhaps it's a mystery that we could explore.

Sounds like you were hit by this:

Which really messes up your database. If that is is, you should have some consolation in knowing that you're not alone.

I've tried to act like ADKHP forum was not an addiction but now I realize it really is. I don't get up to the mountains nearly often enough so I live vicariously through those that do. I would like to thank those that have worked hard to keep my addiction supplied. A lot of time and work must go into a site like that and it is very much appreciated. I have checked the site at least once daily and now I'm reduced to tears and shaking badly. Hope to see it back soon.

This is a common reaction by all trying to get things back online

Any chance we can get rid of all Rik's posts during this maintenance?

I just think it would improve the forum.
