Do you plan on using this in conjunction with the butt-bellows you talked about inventing?

I'd be interested, but only if it were authentic. And if it were authentic, it'd be way to expensive for me to be interested.

Who's the ranger that hikes Marcy in a kilt? Fish? How many times? If it's good enough for him who am I to argue.

The kilt could be named after him with his signiature sewn on and could be a fund raiser for the foundation?

I'm glad you do but wish you hadn't said that..

My butt bellows just fine.

That's one of the advantages.

You gotta be tough to wear a kilt.

Pete Fish. I think he usually only wore one in the winter though.

I was trying to find a remote pond near the Appalacian Trail once. Never found the pond but talked to a thru-hiker wearing a kilt on my way out. He looked authentic enough to march in the St. Patricks Day parade. I gave him all my Nature Valley snack bars. He was from Litchfield, Connecticut & was on a fund raising hike for some good cause for someone who was very ill.

I met a thru hiker 23 years ago wearng one from Mountain Hardware. Swore it was the most comfortable thing he has ever worn. Kids tried getting me to get one, but my wife intervened.

I've known several guys on the Appalachian Trail who hiked in kilts. All of them said it was the most comfortable thing they did and wouldn't think of going back to shorts/pants. Just a thought.

I know a few that wear them on the AT. I had thought about giving it a go in the past but just not ready to bear my boys to the world. Though I have to sy, almost every woman where the subject has come up think that either the kilt or the man is sexy.... Just saying....
