Looking for weekend scenic backpack suggestions!!

Hey all, Im new to this forum but I figured this would be a great place to get advice about an upcoming trip.

I want to do a quick 2 day 1 night backpacking trip and Im looking for suggestions on where to go!

I've been all over the ADK before but never really planned my own trip and I want to do something new! Were looking for somewhere we could backpack in from, hike to somewhere scenic or interesting, set up camp, and then head out or loop out the next day. Im thinking some location near a peak that we could set up camp near the top. If you have any ideas or suggestions I would love to hear it!

EDIT: Somewhere on the south west side of the park would be best

Definitely not the SW side but Nun-Da-Ga-O/Crows/Soda range sounds like what you're looking for. Loop in clockwise, climbing the crows, going over the range, and camp at either one of the leantos or a tent site. Day two loop down, climb Hurricane, then back and continue the loop. It's a little bit of everything, and only 10 or so miles total.

In the southern end, it looks like there are some loop hike possibilities in the Good Luck Lake area which you could combine with a hike up the cliffs, but I don't know about the quality of the sites, someone who's more familiar may chime in. There are some loop options with leantos or tent sites in the Pillsbury Mountain area too, but again I'm not as familiar.

None of this is really "set up camp near the top of a peak on a loop" but I'm not aware there's much of that around, I could be wrong...
