Question Parking in Lake Placid

Perhaps I left one of the more important details to the last moment, but I am planning to leave my car at the trail head in Averyville for 14 days during my thru-hike. I have arranged for transport to accompany me to drop off my vehicle and take me to the beginning this Friday (July 25th). My initial plan was to have family pick me up, but due to unforeseen barriers; it seems my only reliable option for returning home is to have my own car waiting. I do have full comprehensive coverage - but would rather not have to use it! Any feedback on the safety of the Averyville lot in recent years is much appreciated.

Also, be nice to me... it's my first time!

Never had an issue leaving my car there. Most recent was last summer. Enjoy the NPT. Post a trip report when you finish.

Thanks! Was really just looking for a bit of reassurance! I'll definitely return with a full report and hopefully some fun accounts of not-too scary adventures!

My car was broken into there in '01. Nothing taken as nothing was left in the car, but still a PITA to get a new window etc. You may have no problem, but just FYI.
