First Snow

About 7" of fluffy powder here in Keene. Not enough for the woods yet, but the golf course was beautiful today.

All we got down here in Otsego county was a bit of slushy snow; the kind that immediately turns icy underfoot as soon as you step on it. Seems like you got the better end of this deal (LOL)!

That's all for now. Take care and until next well.

I blew out 3-4 inches in northern Oneida County. Small lakes are iced over today.

Still holding up, thanks to very cold weather. XC at Van Ho was spectacular today (opening day).

Will be shot after Monday.

Hays brook was great yesterday

And the VIC was really good today too. Monday night forecast has turned more wintery, I think SL/Paul smiths should be skiable all week

You're right! It rained over night here at 1800' in Keene, and everything's coated with ice, so the powder is shot. But it's snowing now, big fat flakes, and the final surface will be OK. Expect some funky crust layers, though.
