![]() Hello fellow hikers!
I'm planning on dashing outta the office asap today for my first weekend trip to the dacks! We're hoping to do Street/Nye tomorrow with my little dog. Its supposed to rain a bit. Has anyone been on the trail lately? How are the conditions? I've read there is a stream or two that can be difficult to cross? Is the trail easy to follow? Thanks for any info or advice! Faye |

I have not been up there since the winter. Recent reports indicate the two crossings are rock hops. It is a herd path but easy to follow. Street can have a nice view of Wright fifty yards beyond the summit. Good peaks for rainy days IMHO. Search the trail reports for a report earlier this week.

I don't think tomorrow is a good day for climbing Street and Nye. Have you checked the calendar? Full Moon.
And you ARE aware of the Nye Wolf, right?

The Nye wolf is a creature that is half animal and half spirit. He resides on the flanks of Street and Nye. This creature, being part spirit, can walk leaving no footprints. He will stalk you and if you see no footprints, that is proof he is there.
The Nye Wolf is not particularly swift or strong, but he is smart. He has been known to create false herd paths. Hikers become lost, wander around and become weak. They are then easy prey for the Nye Wolf.
