Saranac Lake 6er
Who is working on the Saranac Lake 6ers, completed them all ready, or wants to?
http://saranaclake6er.com/ My Wife and I plan to knock one out this weekend and try to complete them all before Dec 21 st so we can start on the Winter edition. I doubt we will ever want to complete the ultra, since we are all about enjoying our climb, the views, and all the other aesthetics that come with the enjoyment of hiking in the ADKS. How says you?

My family and I completed our 6 in August. I have to say how well the program was put together by the village. Our favorite was St. Regis, it has the best views for a relatively easy hike. McKenzie has the best views but overall, but the hike has a large ascent. McKenzie also has a false summit so keep going foreward, even if that means going down quite a bit, until you get to the sign. Scarface was our least favorite because it is a rather strenuous hike for almost no view. Overall, what a wonderful introduction for people wanting to become 46ers.
Here's the view from St. Regis. The file was too big for me to upload. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...egis%20Pan.JPG |

Have completed three so far ourselves: (Scarface, Ampersand, and Baker). Although we have climbed all six in the past, we haven't climbed any of them after May 2013 (except the three mentioned, which we have done in the past few weekends).

I did is as a Ultra with my friend in May. We are numbers 13 and 14 to have completed the Ultra. I'd say it is a lot of fun and it was well worth it. We had plenty of time to enjoy the summits and the views but it was a long day. I recommend Haystack for sunrise and you can do McKenzee (top 100) in the same trip. I want to go back and redo them for fun. Its a nice set of mountains.

Hiking McKenzie to complete the Saranac Lake 6er on Sunday December 8th. Anyone is welcome to tag along with my Wife and I and are two very friendly Bernedoodles (Bernese Mountain & Standard Poodle)
We will be hiking in from the Whiteface Inn side (we have already hiked Haystack)
