Adirondack Explorer Magazine - Nature Conservancy ad - Clarence Petty ( rest in peace) is holding a photo - Where is the location of this photo?

Can you post it for us? Scan, etc. It will definately help in the 'ID-ing' of it.

I was looking at that last night...I would expect that the photo was from one of the Nature Conservancy acquisitions. I couldn't find any photos that matched that view...
Then I searched using Google Earth. Cedar, Boreas, maybe even Hudson. That sinewy water with surrounding marsh is unique in character and course, I thought it would just jump out at me.
Bottom line, I got nuthin'!

A section of the St. Regis River (and in a stretch, other waterways as well) matches very very closely on GE, but the terrain placement is just not quite close enough to be a called a definitive match.

Very interesting! I have no clue but thought for sure several on this site would recognize it right off. Off to GE I go.
