Pond Birthday

I always try to take my birthday off to go fishing, somewhat of an annual ritual. This year I did a quick overnight to one of my favorite ponds. It's not exactly a secret place but does turn out nice, chunky brookies.

It turns out they like a new dragonfly nymph pattern I've been working on. And at night, looking into the water there were lots of them near the shore - no wonder!
