On forum/not on forum

Cold River Bob called me and said he saw I was on the forum. HUH??? I wasn't on the forum when he called. So.... I go on the internet, log in and lo and behold not only my name is on the bottom but so is ColdRiverBob's. Now I know this is impossible because Bob has dialup internet so when he calls me he's definitely not on the forum. And he's still on his house phone to me. What the heck is going on?

Just cleared out my cache last night.

Unless you click "logout" the forum itself keeps you logged in for a certain period of time. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Close... it's an activity tracker on the forum. Unless you setup your profile (usercp/control panel) to login as invisible, your name appears below as being currently active. Admins can set the time this apppears below (the amount of time after you stop being active that you still appear). It's probably like 10 minutes but could be set to any amount of time.

What Kevin said. To be honest, I'm not sure what the time is set to. It's not something that I ever recall specifying

I can't find this option in my User CP. Found it easily enough on ADKHighpeaks, but not here. Help?

I can't find that option (Invisible mode) for this forum ... no such option listed in the "Edit Options" page for my user CP.

Same for me, Tim. I found it on the "High" side, but not here.

The best I can do is direct you to the upper right hand corner of your screen. Click on the X.

Is this solution from personal experience or something you googled?
