What a day

I know it's not a brook trout but it was a lot of fun had the whole Lake to myself

You sure it is a splake? Was the tail forked? If it's a splake its a real monster.

Thanks for all the replies. Be back out Thursday. Was going to hit the st lawrence for musky but the trout were alot of fun

That has to be a laker.. never ,ever seen a splake
get that huge. See all the slime , lakers have a ton of it. But, I maybe wrong, Im no expert, just my thoughts. Anybody else care to chime in?

The current NYS record splake is 13 lbs. 8 oz and 31 inches long. Caught in 2004. They can grow big. I think the square tail helps rule out the laker. Beautiful fish.
