Worlds End Superloop

A rugged 25 mile loop that explores the beauty of Worlds End and the Loyalsock with views, gorges, giant rocks, and waterfalls. The wildflowers in Cold Run Gorge were beautiful. This circuitous loop basically goes from Cold Run to Ketchum Run gorges.

Nice photos. When I hiked the Loyalsock Trail back in April, I remarked to my companions that parts of the trail felt straight out of Middle Earth- like the Ketchum Run stretch.

This itinerary certainly seems like it could make for a nice 1-2 night weekend backpacking trip for those unwilling (or unable) to hike it in a single day.

Ah, the Loyalsock, Worlds End, and the greater Forksville Metropolitan area. It’s where my earliest camping memories began in the early 80s. You can’t go wrong anywhere there. That area has serious nostalgia for me.
