Loon Lake Mt, 7-29-18

Drove up from NJ last Sunday to go up Loon Lake Mt. Long drive!
The new VIEWS data is accurate. The trail is basically an old logging road for a spell-then it narrows to become a trail and then--IT CLIMBS! Turned out to be steeper than I thought, yet, a true reward as the summit is magnificent!
The tower is unrestored, but stands proud.
Weather was ideal with a slight haze on the distant peaks.
This was #18 in my quest to complete the firetower challenge(third this season). Back to the Cats this month for Black Dome and Thomas Cole.

Loon Lake is well worth the ride and the effort. Just great!
