Brown's Tract vs 8th Lake vs Moss Lake

I am planning a mid-september, mid week trip, of which the main objective is to do some bass fishing. Also some hiking and canoeing. Normally I avoid state campgrounds, but the past couple of years I have stayed mid week in the fall at Lake Durant campground and found it to be sparsely populated and pleasant. I also often visit Moss Lake on my fall trips and found the same. Having recently discovered the joys of bass fishing, this year I want to go where the fish are. I've never had any luck fishing Moss, although last year I met some local boys who told me they've caught many bass there. Anyone have idea how the fishing is in Brown's Tract Pond or 8th lake? Also any impressions or advice about how the camping is there? Thanks in advance.

Travel fewer miles and camp along Salmon River reservoir...good bass fishing there and very few people weekdays
