Which Tirrell Pond trail approach better?
Pondering a hike with dog tomorrow. Is either approach preferred to the pond, from the south near Lake Durant or from the north at the Blue Mtn. trailhead?

There's more to see along the trail from the Lake Durant side, but the trail from the Blue Mtn side is shorter...combined they make a fun through trip.

I've only done the approach from Durant lake with my dog. It's a nice trail and there is a good place to swim, by a campsite at the southern end of Tirrel Pond.
