Windfall Bar and Grill

We finally got to eat at the Windfall Bar and Grill in Cranberry Lake.
Although the place isn't much to look at from the outside the beverages and food are excellent.
The chef/owner Windfall is located on Tooley Pond Road a few miles east of Rt3 and the Columbian Rd.(State Boat Launch)intersection.
There was a nice selection of draft beers and the dinner menu had some great specials.
They serve regular "bar food" as well as some delightful much more complicated selections.
They were recently written up positively in the ADK Life magazine.

Been a reguler customer at the Winfall for some years, and with more than one owner. It's always been on my list of places to eat in the area.

I agree, the outside looks run down, but the food is pretty good.

I definitely have to agree. Windfall was recommended to us by the locals during a recent trip to Cranberry Lake. The food is excellent!! Fresh, delicious food that focuses on a lot of local ingredients. Pork Schnitzel and Apple Pumpkin cake were so good, prices were reasonable ($15 for HUGE full portion & $11 for 1/2 portion) and the service was outstanding.

We are still here for awhile.....did we miss you or is your trip this weekend?

We were back in the garden all day yesterday, closing that up.

Just to add to the list of positive comments, we hit the windfall occasionally also and have always had great service and food. The last time our waitress was asking where we were heading. Upon finding out that we were hiking to high falls she shared numerous experiences that she had camping in the area. It is always fun to share similar stories with complete strangers, we had covered a lot of the same ground and had some good laughs/memories that were fun to compare to hers!
