Stuff happens . No clue what it was yet. I hope the owners here don't get upset about at least mentioning it here
Maybe , someone has a current way to contact the owner. Not sure what all happened before here on this forum , but the owner did start here in the Adirondacks and was a member of this forum .

No problems at all discussing ADKSportsman on this forum.

Was it Gurn who started it and ran it?

I lurked on it a few times and noted there wasn't a lot of traffic and that a lot of the posters also posted here on similar topics.

It was before Gurn , Gurn cleaned it up as it was neglected for a while.
I don't remember what his user name here may have been. But some of the old posts I found on here back when I joined the sportsmans forum often had joking replies about stuff about goats ( IIRC ) , moving to Alaska , and he may have signed using his first name , Ashton .

Ashton. I remember him.
I think he herded goats. Redhawk would remember.

Ashton Cravette. Lived in Indian Lake and had two goats that went hiking with him. They took great pleasure in stepping on snowshoes while I was in them. I nearly had Goat Stew at one of our camps.

I guess having 2 pet goats doesn't exactly make one a goat "herder".

Do you have to leash your goats in the High Peaks?

No info. Last I knew he had moved to Alaska, at least a good five years ago.

Thanks Hawk , who knows maybe one of his goats stepped on one too many peoples snowshoes
He goes weeks or a month ++ with out being in contact between work , fishing , and hunting .
Just hope all is well with him and some thing he over looked is all the issue is.

I'll post back here if I get any updates.

Goats in the High Peaks? If that's the case, I wonder how many rare plants those critters trampled or ate.
