Heating Up

The weather was cold, but the Brook Trout fishing is sure heating up. I made it out to my favorite pond Tuesday for an overnight trip. My cold weather gear was put to the test as night time temperatures dipped into the low 20s. When I awoke at 5am Wednesday morning the temp was 21 degrees. Thanks to a warm down bag and down socks, I made it through the night. Here are a few brookies and my down socks

SWEET!!! That pond has been kind to you once again and responded to your expert efforts. Congrats and sorry I wasn't able to share in the experience on short notice.

I'll be leaving for the woods and ponds at 0'dark-thirty on Monday and don't have to be home until the 23rd. I may or may not get around to that pond but if not it is still one of my faves as well!

So many brookies, so little time...

Hey once you go Crocs you never go back. Nothing better than letting your feet breath after a long hike. I know you and your boys use them as part of your float tube kit. Glen if you're reading this I make no apologies, I know you hate crocs.

Glen broke down and got crocs. That's before I could get him bright pink ones to go with his float tube tutu.

Again, great fish and I'm sorry I missed you!
