Lean to's on good fishing ponds/lakes

Hello,
I am planning a trip in June and was looking for suggestions on what lean to's have decent fishing near them. I was thinking the Black River Wild Forest. Anyone know how fishing is at Chub Lake or Gull Lake?
Thanks,

Never caught anything in either, but I wasn't really there to be fishing. I just tossed a line in to the water so can't say for certain. I hear North Lake in the BRWF has some good fishing if you hit the right holes.

You might try the West Canada Lakes. Spruce Lake has some nice lean-tos and good fishing. Cedar Lakes used to have good fishing but the water level is low due to a leak in the dam, and I don't know if that has affected the fish population.

There's also West and South lakes- a beautiful lean-to at each, but they are also fairly remote, necessitating a full day's hike in just to get there.

Depends on what you're fishing for, but I'd recommend Long Lake, Seventh Lake, and Raquette Lake. Lots of variety.

Thanks,
Late reply, but here it is:

Chub Pond has Chain Pickerel. In fact that is all a friend of mine caught(several via the boat left on the pond). He had no luck from shore. We assumed that they dominated the Pond and that anything else was probably at a minimum because of them.

As for Gull, I have no idea, didn't give it a whirl.
