Anybody that back country skis, paddles with a double blade, and fishes, must have been a good guy. A lot of getting older isn?t bad at all, losing friends is.

Pretty cool that you have those memories from some of the same spots that I've frequented. Every time I drive past Northwoods Club Rd I think back to when I was a kid, helping drag out an eight pointer that my father took with his long bow...nearly two miles in off the trail to Blue Ledges.

Speaking of eight pointers, this guy was swimming across Rock Lake. At first I thought he was just cooling off (it was miserably hot out) in the shallows, but nope! He was swimming all the way across!! I just now noticed the Great Blue Heron in the background.

And here's some Dutchman's pants hung out to dry on Fish Pond

Adirondack deer are great swimmers - guess it comes with the territory. Looking at the proportions of deer, I would have never thought so though.
