I hiked July 15 - August 12. I would love to return to the Sierras, but I'm not great at planning and don't want to venture alone. I hiked from Happy Isles/Yosemite Valley to Whitney Portal (the terminus of the JMT Whitney summit). I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to hike out there. As I say, I'd like to go out there again, even if I have to hire a professional guide - not to cook for me or to carry my gear because I am very capable of those things. I just want to hike. I'd love to venture off to the areas where there are less people.
