That's terrible.

I had just been reading about him in the latest issue of Adirondack Explorer. By that account he sounded like a nice guy and one who pushed his limits, but tried to do so as safely as possible given the inherent risks in what he was doing.

Does anyone happen to know if he was attempting the route discussed in the issue, Gorillas in the Mist, when the accident occurred? The article said he was trying to become only the second ever to climb it successfully, but that it is a notoriously risky and difficult route.
