Unfortunate but given the well publicized issues regarding trespassing there and groups showing up without permission, it seemed like this was the only possible outcome sooner or later.
Undoubtedly the AllTrails generation shoulders at least some of the responsibility for this. Why do any research on a hike in advance when all you need to do is pull up the info on your phone once you've arrived at the trailhead?
