Inspection stations around here are few and far between. With gas over $5 a gallon I honestly can't see people driving 20 miles and back to have this done. DEC is going to be busy this summer.

I think meat of any kind including game will have a taste of their own depending on the feed they get. Sometimes when western beef grasses get dried up they will graze on trees and other things.

As a local and hiker I take offense to your statement. Just because we are locals doesn't mean we are a thief. I would almost bet that the majority of things stolen are from people out of the area.
