We found a guy north of here who does custom work on boats. He beautifully refurbished a friend's cedar strip canvas canoe. I'm taking the canoe to him tomorrow. The seats are the big priority.

We do two-trip carries and when carrying the canoe I wear a soft pack of no more than 40 liters. On the trip without the boat I carry a 60 liter barrel in it's own harness.

We had new seats put in our canoe but there is a problem in that they are too narrow and you often find yourself sitting on the wooden bar, which is a pain in the butt. We plan on changing the seats...
