What is the consensus on the deer herd this year? Hunted around Indian Lake for the opening of the muzzle-loader season saw 1 coyote and no deer. Tough time to look for sign with the leaves...

I have done my share of bringing out backwoods...

I have done my share of bringing out backwoods deer from some rugged areas around Tupper lake and I am done dragging. What my group has come to use looks like a stretcher mounted on a bicycle wheel....

You might take a look at Coreys Rd between Tupper Lake And Saranac Lake. Couple of trails will take you into some serious back country along the Seward range.

You might want to take a look at Lewey lake. Lots of opportunity to paddle on both indian and lewey lake. Also trails from the campground and nearby area which would be good for your boys. Good luck

Here is the link to a club outside Indian lake. I just joined this year so all I can say is that all of the membership I have met are great,huge piece of property, and my scouting seems like good...
