All of the reservoirs along the raquette are nice. The smaller ones like five falls can be particularly appealing to paddlers.

We did a day trip on LTL last Friday- truly couldn’t believe the number of cars at both Round and LTL. Had to be almost double the “typical” number of vehicles

If you do it again next year, Osgood Pond near Paul Smiths or Long Pond in Floodwood road might be really nice too!

expect the lake to be slamming on a sunday. itís been very very busy this summer.

Iím a triathlete (not a good one haha) so iíve done a fair bit of swimming- i would absolutely not do a distance...

Any cold water fish you pull up right now is as good as dead anyway, our water temps are near all time high right now.

Like you said, itís really not the time to be trout fishing.

When we camped there. ďItĒ being the normal parking lot. It was a little tricky on the final downhill to the pond, mostly due to the stones, but it wasnít that bad.

Last time we went down there it was still an issue, but with the snow still in Paul Smiths youíre not getting down that road either way at this point- it isnít plowed in the winter.

Fish Pond truck trail is a gem and is in good shape- it can be very fun to combine this one with pond skiing & canoe carries.

Hays Brook Truck trail and grassy pond are very nice, gentle terrain...

But we skied Avalanche pass and the Mr. Van trail today and it was pretty awesome. Based on past experience Iíd think the higher train stuff has to be close- I bet someone has skied both already, but...

We often get our first snow in October or November. A decade or 2 ago snow in early December would have been a safe bet- now, probably but no promises. We had 65 on xmas eve a couple years ago.
