It'll be a zoo but Ninemile Creek just west of Syracuse is pretty consistant on opening day. The only fly you need is a sz. 12 olive scud. You could try a little brookie creek with worms too.

I've seen the number at 38,000. It's an educated guess. Up here they estimate there are 4,000 living in Metro Toronto which is the same number I've seen listed in the Adirondacks.
