I climbed Street and Nye last weekend (9/25). The weather was less than ideal for seeing from the top of the mountain, but that's why I chose to do Street and Nye on that day. The only problem that I ran into was when to cross Indian Pass Brook. We originally crossed upstream from where the trail actually starts. We saw a couple of orange tape flags on the trees on both sides of the stream. However, upon crossing we were completely lost, and couldn't find the trail. We figured that we must have crossed to early and worked our way down stream till we saw another group crossing at the correct location. So make sure you cross where the cairn is, the path is really obvious. Other than that, the trail was in great condition, with only one or two wet spots on the whole section, and those were easily avoidable.
Also, this was a Saturday in the fall, but it seemed to me as though the summits were crowded. There was at least 10 different parties climbing the two mountains. I had climbed it for a nice solitary hike, but it turned into a fun time chatting with different aspiring 46ers.
