Allen Hike

Three of us hiked Allen on Saturday, 9/25/04. It took us 12 hours, that included many stops for fluids and nourishment, and oh yes, the dreaded picture taking.
If you plan on hiking Allen soon, gaiters are suggested for the second half of the hike. There is lots of mud. Make sure your hiiking boots are thoroughly waterproofed, too.

Appreciate the heads-up. I was going to hike Allen on Saturday but cancelled until next weekend. The forecast looks dry for the week, so hopefully things will improve some (I'll go prepared anyway).

My wife and I stopped and talked with you on your way up the Allen slide. Glad you had a good trip. I am sure we will meet again, although my wife promised it will not be on Allen again.
