Backpacking the Adirondack Loop - 300 Miles Around the Park

Two years ago I mapped out and hiked a big loop around the Adirondacks. I wanted to see as many of the places that interested me as possible in one go. I finally got around to writing up a report of my trip. Access it here. It's a bit lengthy.

The route covers the entire NPT and some of the NCT. It also visits the high peaks and other spots between. I did this solo and had a wonderful time.

I have been working on a western connector similar to yours. Mine used what is now the rail trail to connect Placid to the Cranberry Lake trail network, including the CL50.

Thanks. I like the idea of connecting to the Cranberry Lake area and it looks like that rail trail is the perfect way to do it.
