I hiked Mount Jo. and Marcy Dam on monday sept. 17 with my dad. This was my first time going to the ADK LOJ area. We arrive at the LOJ around 8:30 and took the short trail up Mount Jo. The trail is a easy hike up and has some nice filtered views as u climb. The views from the top of Mount Jo. are breathtaking for such a short hike. It was a little hazy at the top. After we descended we decided to head to Marcy Dam and have lunch there. The trail to Marcy Dam is quick and realtivly flat. Nice views from the Dam. Saw a few groups of people at the dam. We ate lunch at one of the leans tos and then headed back to the car. Left the LOJ at 12:30. Not bad for two quick hikes before our trip back to Long Island. Here are some photos.
