Wonderful! That's a beautiful hefty little guy you've got there and one proud big brother. Congratulations to you and Emily on both children.

You even managed to shave for the occassion!

Congrats Chris. Marshall is also one of my favorite mountains in the adirondacks, and from what I've read Bob Marshall (for which the mountain was named) wasn't such a bad guy either . Marshall evokes a sense of elegance as a first name. Good choice.

Maybe by time Marshall is ready for some hiking Colden will be able to do all of the hike himself. You'll get lots of use out of that backpack between the 2, and you'll be in the best shape of your life.

If Marshall is anything like Colden you're going to have a wonderful family and lots of great years ahead.

Now THAT was an excellent post! I only only have one child, but reading your post brought me back to that magical moment that one has to be a part of to truly understand the significance.

                    Congratulations!

Congratulations, Chris. How long until Marshall gets a pair of hiking boots?
A man needs to believe in something. I believe I'll go hiking.

By association, He already has 2 pairs that Colden has already used. They may be worn out though, the kid does a ton of hiking with me. (2+ miles yesterday!)

Very much so! Emily and I were both anxious to leave the hospital on Saturday.

Colden will be on his own by the time Marshall is ready for the pack. He already hikes 2+ miles at a clip, so I am able to bring Marshall and Colden on the local stuff when he is about 6 weeks old (or so).
