My daughter has not been into hiking since she was 9 yrs. old. I persuaded her to go out with me saturday 7 yrs. after her last peak.It was a little buggy on the Marcy dam truck trail but we got in there early and really beat the heat. I probably won't get her back up a peak again until she comes back from Germany next year. We both had a great time and she survived her old mans addiction to the high peaks.

I'm glad you got the hike with her to happen. I remember you mentioning this when we were hiking in to camp santanoni.
There's lots of hiking in and around Germany, I'm sure if she gets the bug she's only a few train hours away.
You been getting out much? Haven't seen/heard from you since this past winter... -
I hurt my ankle shortly after the Macomb hike and wasn't able to hike. It took a long time to heal because Iworked every day on it. It started to feel better a couple of weeks ago so I decided it was time to get out. I plan on doing the hard ones that Shannon has left to help her finish her 46 this year. So I am going to have to get into shape quick! She has 14 left to do and they are all the tough ones.IT IS NOT A PARK

I've been helping Val in the same way. If you been keeping track you know that a few of the tougher ones have been done recently, including Couch which I swore to never climb again.
