    Pillsbury Mtn

After returning from the Cedar Lakes Black Fly Festival, I decided to climb Pillsbury Mtn ... rewarded with great 360 degree views from the fire tower once I reached the summit. This is a view of the fire tower from near the old cabin at the summit. NO flies on the trail, and very few at the summit!

looks great! im doing teh fire tower challange, yet to do pillsbury though, so far ive done black mountain, hadley, spruce, poke o moonshine , vanderwacker, goodnow, hurricane, belfry, and overlook and hunter down in teh catskills. I atempted adams lst sat , my book said it wasnt maintained by the dec but the trail was still marked well enough to navigate. boy were they wrong! after gettin bout half way up we decided we better had back down and coem back with a gps! so far id have to say my favorites so far would be hurricane and vanderwhacker, but i still have quite a few left to climb! - Wiley

Oh Kevin this is where I wanted to go yesterday, but car repairs and house repairs slowed down the week's progress. Couldn't play at all this weekend. Great views. Thanks for the pictures.

          Damn you! lol

Wish we could have done it. It was a good thing we didn't, for whatever reason we were really tired by time we got home yesterday.

I'll be posting a TR for the Cedar Lakes hike soon.
