    Anyone getting out yet?

OK, rock season is HERE. So's bug season, but who's counting?
Anyone getting out on vertical rock?
I've been able to boulder a wee bit, nothing else so far. Now that black flies are biting it'll be hard as pulling teeth talking anyone into climbing up here for awhile.
Anyone going to the Gunks in the next month?

    JClimbs,

I am going to the Gunks this week, probably Wednesday, might be Tuesday though. I try to get to the Gunks a few times a month. I try to make the trips for early/ mid week so the crowds are less. Let me know when you are going and if our plans match up, I would be glad to share a rope.

No day set yet, family obligations and such are crowding my time. But if/when I get a chance to actually schedule my own life a bit, I'll definitely be looking toward the Gunks this year. I'm even thinking of getting a season pass again - last one I bought cost me $40, which I complained about because it cost twice what my first Gunks season pass cost.

this year it is 70 but if you buy a day pass, you can use the 15 dollars as credit for the season pass. in the end, you can get it for 55. the day pass there is 15 dollars now, up from 10 last season. pm with trip dates and if I am up there, it would be nice to meet up

Already hit the Gunks 1x this year:

I think I will bea heading there again before colorado at the end of June. Either that or I will be heading up to Cannon. Gotta get my leading grade up! Finally leading 8s now.

Just got back from a day at the Gunks. Forecast called for 20% rain. We got to the top of the first pitch of our first climb (I'm embarrassed by the grade so I'm not naming it) and the sun came out. The falcons are out in full force nuking off the cliffs into the valley. Beautiful day with no one else there.
