Paddling convergence of Hudson and Schroon Rivers In Warrensburg

Thinking of taking the kids for a paddle around where the Hudson and Schroon Rivers intersect in Warrensburg. Does anyone know anything about this area?

I paddled there a few years ago and had a good time. You need enough water to stay above the rocks on the Hudson. I believe you can go a bit upstream on the Schroon. IIRC, park & launch on the west side of the Hudson just S of the bridge. You may not be able to cover a lot of distance without having to deal with current or rocks however. That is why I haven't been back.

You might enjoy the Schroon a few miles upstream - a bit N of Warrensburg, but below the whitewater sections.. Modest current and nice scenery except for a few scattered camps. More room to paddle, and perhaps swim.
