    Best Lake/area for exploring

What paddling spots in the ADK offer the most marshy backsets and meandering inlets/outlets to explore. Always looking for new spots to paddle and love exploring creeks and marshes.

I don't know if there is a "best" place. They're all good!

Among the ones already mentioned, Madawaska Flow near Paul Smiths is quite good.

This is why I live in New York instead of the White Mountains, we have peaks and lakes.......

the back of Sacandaga Lake in Speculator has two streams/marshes coming in that you can go quite a way up. One goes to another small lake. Another great spot is also in speculator, paddling up the Kunjamuk to Elm Lake. There is a large marsh just before the lake. Lots of critters.
And of course there is the Bog River/lows lake area, with lots of places to explore.
