Does anyone know how to get to the Deer River off Red Tavern Road? ( not Everton Falls).
Tried what appeared to be a (recent) DEC access point and was intimidated by a huge locked gate @.3 mile in. thanks.

The Red Tavern Road crosses the Deer River near the outlet of Deer River Flow:

I passed by the outlet & it didn't seem as if you could park there-if I recall, there were posted signs so one couldn't get to the water without trespassing-
hope I'm mistaken, & thanks for the info ( have all the maps, too)- would like to reach the 9-mile stretch to High Falls.
