My son and I are looking to do long lake to axton Landing at some point down the road. Say if I had my vehicle at axton landing...do outfitters tansport gear and paddlers from an end point to a start point so all we do is get to our end point and head home? Any help is appreciated.

Yes outfitters will offer that service. I have done similar type of things with different outfitters in the area. I was planning on doing a similar route in 2024 and scheduled with Raquette River Outfitters for the shuttle. We ended up not needing it because we had 2 cars with us but they were very accommodating. For other routes we have used Adironack Lake and Trails Outfitters a bunch of times and those guys are also nice and accommodating. -
Give Raquette River Outfitters a call and tell them the trip you are looking to do and they can give you options. That is a popular trip, so theyre probably well versed in shuttling for it.
The easiest shuttle is probably to have them move your vehicle for you from the launch to the take-out.Comment
