Site 11 was a good one when I was there a few years back. The landing is not quite a sandy beach but it's somewhat level and easy. The site is located on the north side towards the west end of the lake. It's on an elevated point giving you a good breeze most of the time. Don't remember a privy (does not mean there wasn't one), do remember a bald eagle flying over head. We got a good look since he was just above the tree tops. Site 12, next site W OF 11(last site on N side of lake before Rock Pond) was occupied but I vagely remember thinking it was also a good one. I don't remember a tag system, it's first come first get. Good luck and enjoy!

Seems like they discontinued the tag system couple of years ago. It is first come-first serve for sites. Friday afternoon can turn into a campsite slugfest with paddlers racing across the lake to find available sites. My strategy for Little Tupper is this:
- Plot potential sites with GPS
- Equip party members with two-way radio communication
- Assign sites by priority and spread out as you near your target(s).
- Find best available site and claim it.
- Enjoy
I like to go to the end, most of the sites are pretty nice but finding one that can accommodate more than 3-4 tents might be hard. There is one site at the very end which used to be some kind of mine or something, pretty wide open there. My favorite has to be the island on Rock Pond, blueberries and rasberries galore and the kids can't wander away.Comment

Just Back
Awesome Three Day Weekend At Little Tupper! We Met A Ranger At The H.q. (8:30 Am Friday) Who Filled Us In On Some Things.... Tag System Was Only In Place For The First Year Or So And Was Finally Discarded After Many Confrontations...including A Real Slugfest They Broke Up At One Of The Sites. He Said The System Was Often Abused/ignored Leading To Arguments. Also, He Said The Brook Trout Are Just About Gone!! 2-3 Lb Bass Are Taken Regularly.(my Tackle Box Was Set Up All Wrong) Rock Pond Is Also Getting Bass Introduced Despite Beaver Dams. Very Disappointing. We Explored On Saturday All The Way To The End Of The Rock Pond Carry But Stopped There.the Cruise Up That Stream Was One Of The Highlights Of Our Trip.( My 12 Yr Old Son Almost Put His Paddle Through A Big Turtle) Truly A Pristine , Quiet Wilderness With Big Water On The Main Lake....take The Wind Warnings To Heart As The Slight Breezes Of This Past Weekend Really Whipped Up The Water. Can Be Tough Canoeing W/ Kids. The Campsites Are Spotless And Well Apart.there Were Zero Bugs This Weekend. Our Departure Sunday Afternoon Was Exciting With A Good Tailwind (15mph???) We Rode The Surf All The Way Into The Hq. We'll Be Back Again.
Thanks All For The InputComment
